Cox Campus is an online training program for child-facing adults who work with families and/or children from the prenatal period through elementary school. This research-based professional development program includes interactive, video-based coursework that focuses on practical strategies teachers can use to promote young children's language and literacy.
Alabama Teacher Eligibility:
Must work at a licensed childcare/early childhood learning facility, be enrolled as a student in the field of early childhood education, or be working in the field of early childhood education in Alabama
Must complete the Intake Application online form.
Must complete 5 to 10 hours of coursework from Cox Campus. You may select courses that are closely aligned to the children with whom you work. You can find the courses here.
Must include completion of one of the "Power of Language" courses (Power of Language for Infant and Toddlers or The Power of Language) among the 5-hour minimum.
Must submit completed Cox Campus transcript to the Alabama Partnership for Children at rrfts@apcteam.org.
Must submit a current (within the last 30 days) Pay stub with the name of the childcare facility or agency displayed.
Must submit a copy of your current student ID if enrolled in an Alabama early childhood education program
Must submit a completed W-9 form.
Alabama Teacher Incentives:
An incentive of up to $200 is being offered to childcare professionals who complete 10 hours of coursework on the Cox Campus that is closely aligned to the age of children they teach.
If you have previously been paid $100 for completing five hours, you can take on an additional 5 hours to earn an additional $100.
Cox Campus Courses:
Adults who work with children and/or families in Alabama should complete courses that are closely aligned to the work in which they engage.
One of the courses taken must be a Power of Language course. There are two options:

After completing the courses, Alabama educators should submit a copy of their Cox Campus transcript to the Alabama Partnership for Children at rrfts@apcteam.org or mail the transcript to Alabama Partnership for Children, C/O Collie Wells; 2595 Bell Road, Montgomery, AL 36117, This incentive is conditional upon the availability of funds.
