Before enrolling in the Structured Literacy exam, you must complete all 11 courses in the Structured Literacy program.
What are the courses?
All courses in the Structured Literacy Program track are offered on the Cox Campus. This includes:
- Oral Language is the Foundation for Literacy
- GaDOE Dyslexia Video Series
- Early Literacy: Print Awareness, Phonological Awareness, and Alphabet Knowledge
- Systematic and Explicit Phonics Instruction
- Meaningful Read Alouds for Vocabulary and Oral Language Comprehension OR Meaningful Read Alouds)
- Vocabulary Instruction
- Reading Fluency
- Reading Comprehension
- Teaching Writing to K-3
- Response to Intervention
- Data Driven Instruction
If you have completed all 11 courses and the enroll button is still grey, check that you have completed each course's end-of-course survey. The end-of-course survey marks the course as complete and allows your certificate to be generated. The feedback required message will be displayed if the survey has not been completed. To complete the survey, select the course on the My Course Progress page. If the survey has not been completed, it should open when you enter the course. It may take the form a moment to load. If it does not load, please click 'Submit Feedback' to complete the survey. Once you do that, your certificate will be accessible. Until then, your course will appear on the My Course Progress page instead of the Certificates page, and you will be unable to enroll in the Structured Literacy Exam.
